Calendario de Adviento - Advent Calendar

Se acerca el día 1 de diciembre.
Empieza el Adviento.

La verdad es que yo nunca he tenido un Calendario de Adviento. No es una tradición española, pero últimamente se ven muchos por internet.

Así que el año pasado decidí hacer uno.

Cogí todos los restos de tela comprada, de ropa de los niños que se habia quedado pequeña, de ropa mía que ya no usaba, de todo lo que encontré por casa, y me puse a hacer bolsillos y a coser en cada uno un número del 1 al 24.

El único problema es que la decisión la tomé un poco tarde, y el día 30 de noviembre de 2009, me estuve casi hasta las cuatro de la madrugada para tenerlo listo el día 1.

Este año ha sido mas sencillo, el calendario estaba hecho, y solo he tenido que comprar los regalos.

24 regalos x 2 niños = 48 regalos

Bueno.... no ha sido tan sencillo.

Ya lo tenemos colgado en la pared y en dos días lo llenaré de cosas.

¡Que emoción!

Tendremos que poner mas pronto el despertador por la mañana para que nos de tiempo a coger el regalo antes de irnos al colegio.

Voy a intentar enseñaros la sorpresa de cada día.

The Advent begins.

I've never had an Advent Calendar. It is not a Spanish tradition, but lately I have seen a lot of them in the web.
So last year I decided to make one for us.
I took all the fabric scraps I had, old clothing of my sons, clothes no longer used, all what I found at home, and I began to make pockets and to sew numbers from 1 to 24.
The only problem was that I took the decision a bit late, and at 4 am of November 30th, 2009, I was working to have it ready on day 1.

This year it has been easier, the calendar was done, and I only had to buy the gifts.

24 Gifts x 2 kids = 48 gifts

Well .... It has not been so easy.

We have hung it on the wall and in two days I will fill it of presents.
That exciting!
We will program the clock alarm early in the morning to have time to get the gift before going to school.

I will try to show you the gifts every day.

Estamos en el fin de semana del Black Friday y el Cyber Monday.

Black Friday es el jueves despues de Acción de Gracias en Estados Unidos.
Es el inicio de la temporada de compras navideñas, y muchas tiendas abren muy temprano y tiene ofertas especiales.
Como está relacionado con el día de Acción de Gracias, siempre cae el cuarto viernes de noviembre.

Cyber Monday es el lunes que sigue al Black Friday.
Se prolongan las ofertas durante el fin de semana, y hasta el lunes, para aquellos que compren on line desde el trabajo.
